A Special Request From AnguillaHello to all Anguilla Beach Lovers, I attended a most interesting meeting yesterday. Its goal was to receive feedback to help the Ministry of Tourism prepare a new, comprehensive tourism policy to guide Anguilla's tourism development. Before drafting the policy, they are seeking a wide number of views, including, most importantly, YOURS! To make sure everyone has a chance to share their thoughts, they have prepared the following questionnaire... Gilda Gumbs-Samuel, Executive Director of the Anguilla Hotel and Tourism Association, kindly asked me to send you the above. It addresses various areas, some of which are of a more governmental, "internal structure" nature, which would be of less interest to you. Others, though, directly involve YOU. For example, would you like to see casino gaming come to Anguilla or how would you feel about jet skis being legalized? The more thought you give to an answer, the more valuable your feedback. The government is taking this seriously and YOU are, of course, THE most important contributor to the process. Don't miss the final question, the one that says, "Please note any other comments in the space below"... 1) It is your chance to add anything else! :-) 2) Please identify yourself as a visitor (no need to give your name). This is important, though, to know that you are not part of the tourism trade here, letting the policy makers know how YOU feel. The Ministry, Tourist Board and Hotel & Tourism Association all feel that it is important to receive YOUR thoughts about the Anguilla that you would like to see in years to come. And I could not agree with them more. :-) Thank you so much for taking the time to help form the best future Anguilla possible!
Warm regards, |
