Two weeks ago, we asked you...
What is your #1, most special Anguilla memory? You already know so many of my family's Anguilla memories, and now we wanted to know your favorite, most cherished Anguilla memories. So, we teamed up with one of our favorite Anguilla restaurants, da'Vida, and turned the quest for fellow Anguilla lovers' Anguilla stories into a fun and rewarding contest. The guidelines were simple... Enter your most special Anguilla story, and a photo or 2, and win a dinner for 2 at da'Vida Restaurant. The contest was on! That week I received many heart-warming stories, and fond Anguilla memories. Being up here in New York for school now, Anguilla is never far from my mind. Wherever you are, if you are winter, I'm sure you feel the same. Thank you all contestants for taking us back to Anguilla! It was a difficult task to whittle the pool down to just The Top 5. From The Top 5? One week ago, we asked you to vote for your favorite story, and take us to #1. Wow! The voting was wild, with over 150 votes! After counting, reading and weighting each comment, we are here, at #1... Drum roll please... ...rrr... ...rrr... ...rrr... The Anguilla-Beaches & da'Vida Contest Winner... Anguilla is For Lovers, by Joyce and Guy from New Jersey With 94 votes, over half of the total number of votes contest-wide, and glowing comment after glowing comment, this Anguilla story comes in at #1! Thank you Joyce and Guy for sharing such a beautiful Anguilla memory. Crocus Bay, da'Vida and Little Bay are truly magical spots. Congratulations, Joyce and Guy!
