Paradise Cove Resort

Lush Paradise Cove

Lush Paradise Cove

As a professional travel writer who specializes in the Caribbean I've stayed in five-star, four-star and even minus-one-star properties. That means I've got lots of experience.

For me Paradise Cove, a few minutes walk from The Cove beach, is more than a hotel, it's a little piece of home. Far from the madding crowd is the first way to describe it. "Lush" is the perfect adjective - on an island that can be downright scrubby the grounds of this property could hold their own in Grenada or even Hawaii. Stroll past the pool toward the front desk and you feel like you might even see howler monkeys.

But that's not all Paradise Cove Resort offers. It's a family operation - the Hughes husband-and-wife team - and you feel like family from the second you get here. Rooms are impeccably serviced by housekeeping staff and every accessory, every detail has been considered. The penthouse suites are truly worthy of the name - boasting king-size beds, big jacuzzis, huge washrooms and balconies with panoramic views of St. Martin across the Anguilla Passage. Best yet, kitchens are superior and fully-equipped because Anguilla, for all the culinary delights it offers, isn't a cheap place to dine. That means you can stock up on groceries and choose your culinary exploits strategically.

We just got back from Anguilla on a press trip. We were delighted to discover that on this trip we'd be back to stay at Paradise Cove. The Cove is one of our favorite Anguilla beaches...

and Paradise Cove... just paradise.

Nori's Reply: Paradise Cove Resort is indeed an oasis in Anguilla with Sherille Hughes and her staff making you feel as if you have just arrived home.

Thank you for sharing your warm thoughts!
