Rounding the Bend in Anguilla

by Ned
(Pennsylvania)

The Anguilla Bend

The Anguilla Bend

Every trip to anguilla begins with a lunchtime walk from lower Shoal Bay East to the upper beach, Gwen's, etc. The moment we round the beautiful spit of sand between lower and upper Shoal Bay (photo above) and feel the wonderful breeze and see the remarkable shades of blue ocean; well, this thought gets me through many cold winter days.

Nori's comment: My Dad feels the same way, Ned. It's a walk he almost MUST do every time we come to Anguilla. Rounding the Anguilla bend is an Anguilla must-do. Thanks very much for reminding me of this magic moment! Best regards, Nori

Have You Ever Just Sat On The Point?
by: Todd Antone

Sitting on that point of sand at the tip of the Shoal Bay bend, and just gazing out to sea? Definitely one of the most peaceful moments you'll have in your life. Try it! Next time I do it, I'll ask my wife to take a photo and I'll post it here!

Thanks everyone for reminding me about this.

Shoal Bay East Point
by: Robert Stewart

We just got back from Ku on Shoal Bay East. I also fell in love with the walk to the point and around to Gwen's. That is one of the most beautiful and relaxing places that I have ever seen in my life. We also went on a boat trip to Scrub Island and simply loved the peacefulness of that beach.

Great site! Very informative! For example, I now know to keep walking until I come to that magical, mystical bend in Shoal Bay East. :-)
